    Result Easter Carball Tournament 2014

The results are in! The start of matches where nice and played normally, due to some communication problems and stuff that people didn't understand too well resulted in a big ass chaos in the end. A part of it is my fault because in the thread the rules weren't a 100% clear.. What I still can't understand is that referee's decided to give the -points (penalties) themselves without pm'ing me for what ever the reason was for these things.. I did say this clearly: I would be the judge if whatever penalty is granted (of course the not showing up in time not counted within this) Also I find it ashaming how players reacted and the poor amount of teams that actually had their shit sorted out and came to play with enough people.. teams that decided not to play at all was a big :wat: for me as well. Also people saying that A.E.e should be in the final have it wrong since the match: A.E.e vs X1 resulted in a tie (4-4) and not 5-4, I joined in this match and saw that it was 4-4 tie and the 5-4 was made in a golden goal fase which wasn't allowed in the pre-rounds.

In the end Carball Club B won every match they play and the finales, Gongratulations to that team!
    These are the results:

For any further tournament I recomment the organisator NOT to be a referee in between matches to give a live update about the tournament, this might have been a big issue during the last tournament. Lack of information/wrong information and wrong assumptions resulted in the mayem in the end.. Sorry that I couldn't provide u all with the necessary information but I was really really busy with 10 things at once and couldn't even focus on playing my own matches.. well.. hope u still appreciate the results

Dafuq I somehow missed this thread in my update feed.

I want to add that this tournament actually had the potential to be the best organized tournament in the history of Carball, because of several things like referees, a very nice graphical visualized tournament structure and a few other points which were thought through.

Sadly in the end it then beame the first tournament, which I refused to continue playing in till the end, because of a simple but huge fun killer: (Subjective) unfair rules/gameplay.

The case around A.E.e has already been divided and discussed, my opinion stays the same: if you play with less than 3 players, you already have a huge disadvantage and it doesn't make any sense to me to harm those teams additionality with those weird penalty rules which were furthermore totally overweighted in my opinion and I also didn't even know about them until the tournament started, because they were somewhere randomly mentioned in the middle of Page 2 somewhere in the Carball thread.

And then it's just sad to see a team which played and goddamn fought their team with only 2 players to the second rank, just to be then disqualified because of their penalty points. That's in my opinion simply unfair and as already mentioned unfair treatment is a big big fun killer, so my decision (and from the rest of our team as well) was then to abort our participation.

Nonetheless I want to thank Pipo again for his time and work he put into this tournament and as said it had a really high potential, but was then only ruined by some small weird inconsistencies. Anyway I guess further tournament organizers can learn from this. Keep the good work up Pipo :)
Well, from beforehand I called that rule in to life to have a certain pressure maker to join in with a full team, a part for me that ruins the fun as well is when u show up with your team and on the opposite site nobody (or a incomplete team) is there.. It was meant as a motivater, nonetheless A.E.e did well with 2 players, the rule indeed didn't work out as how I wanted.. and gave a unfair disadvantage to incomplete teams.. (still I find that when u signup for a 3-3 tournament you have to come with 3 players and not less than that. Still A.E.e didn't win that one match A.E.e vs X1 (it was a draw/tie) I just happened to see that match in the end and that the 5-4 win for A.E.e came in overtime (golden goal) so whoever was ref there clearly didn't read the rules of the tournament.. I see that I made some misstakes as well, I should have made a decent overview regarding the rules (like Velo made for the 2-2 tournament). Anyway, looking @ the scores and point table the right people played the right matches (semi-finals and finals). Tip for any next tournament: try to keep a live update of points etc during the tournament.. this can overcome any misunderstandings about points etc.
