Sticky Carball Rules

    Carball Rules

    Carball Rules

    General rules
    • ALL Neon United rules apply to Carball as well.
    • Abusing the double jump bug is strictly forbidden, and will lead to a permanent ban (as with any other bug abusing).
    • Do not mock other players
    • Do not join the arena in the last seconds, just to get a win. Do not leave the arena in the last seconds to avoid a loss.
    • Try to keep the teams balanced.
    • Do not ram (hit/block) other players, unless otherwise demanded by the arena creator. Do not use ramming to gain an advantage over other players.
    • If you get kicked out of an arena, do not rejoin it.
    • Do not kick anyone in the last second/minute. Doing this will lead to a punishment.
    • Massive ragequitting results a temporary ban
    • Play fair with everybody.
    • Doing the Kalamir is only allowed during the first half of a match. That is to say, 7:30 minutes in a 15 minutes match, 4:30 minutes in a 9 minutes match.

    Official club rules
    • Every official club can have its own clan tag. Only club members can wear it.
    • Each player can only be in one club.
    • Each club must have a thread in the forum, which includes at least a memberlist.
    • Every club must have at least three (3) active players.
    • Every club must not have any more than six (6) players.
    • Each club must update its memberlist at least weekly or once in two weeks (if there are changes).
    • Every club must have at least three (3) active players to participate in Carball events.
    • Only official clubs can participate in leagues.

    Tournament and league rules

Tournament organizers have the right to alter/add/remove rules. Here are the common rules:
    • Ramming or blocking is forbidden. Before a kickoff even more. Doing this will result in an arenakick.
    • At least 25 FPS, ping under 150.
    • No flaming/raging/spamming/flooding or any other abuse of main chat, which is sometimes overlooked.
    • Referee creates the arena.
    • Referee counts the goals and validates them or cancels them.
    • Referee makes the final decision.
    • Do not argue decisions made by the referee.
    • Referee can kick people from the arena if they are not following the rules.
    • Goals that were won because of lags/bugs/hacks are not validated by the referee.
    • Players can only join slots, reserved to them.
    • Players in the same teams should wear team/club tags.
    • Respect other teams.
    • Try to use the forum thread for information concerning a specific tournament/league.

Just want to point out that these rules should be only enforced in a tournament (if the organisator has these rules him or herself as he or she can determine his or her own rules) or in a league match.
No moderative action should ever be taken for leaving a match or a unbalanced one.
Not that i disagree with any of the rules but yeah just wanted to point it out just in case.

Are we allowed to have fun?

well.. I understand why we need rules.. but still a bit of ramming in carball should be allowed, a bit of shoulder pushing is what I would call it... of course it's different when someone is just knocking on you like a woodpecker :youdontsay: but I don't think it should be disallowed completely.. for ref's impossible to see what is ramming on purpose and what not.. and the 'every club has to update their memberlist every week' is bullshit imo.. if a club's formation doesn't change in weeks or even months why should they update it? :genius:

I didn't write that the teams need to be balanced. Its just that they should be. I agree that there should be no action taken for leaving/joining a match in the last second...

I didnt write that ramming is not allowed in all cases. And those "accidents" are not counted as ramming.
If the memberlist didn't change, they don't need to update it, cause it is impossible :genius:

To the leaving point: Don't know about you but I am sick of the people who are just going into a game like #SwaghettiYOLOnese , playing maybe not the best and at the top of all leaving every game they might loose. I don't want to punish someone for maybe ragequitting when it is a hard loss to take, but I just think that bad examples should get punished to see what they actually do with their actions and take responsibility. I mean do you just leave a football pitch in Real-life to fuck up the fun for all other players?
I myself always have the opinion that if you really want to play with your own rules (which is basically any rule you add to the normal server ones), then you have to be the arena creator yourself and that gives you the oppurtunity to "moderate" the arena or make a private one. But i mean when is someone really ragequitting?
When a game wasn't fair cause it was a 2 vs 1 for 14 mins and suddenly 2 vs 2 and you lost the game, it still gets counted but i can't say it was fair.
But idc that much i just wanted to point out that there should be no admin panel involved in any of these rules if they get violated. And when is someone ramming? The question sounds silly but team A calls a ram not ramming while Team B does, but if it was a ram or just a accidental hit is something only a neutral ref could decide which we have in the Tournaments and leagues.
